Oktavspinett after Samuel Biderman, early 17th century


Samuel Biderman in Augsburg pursued the idea of making tiny, just playable octave spinets that outwardly looked like valuable jewellery or sewing boxes. His automaton spinets, which ran on clockwork, also achieved fame. All of them were delightful gems!
