Virginal after Onofrio Guarracino 1668

The numerous Virginals by Onofrio Guarracino with half projecting keyboards were probably only made by him like this. In keeping with the old Neapolitan tradition, the corners of his Virginals are dovetailed, the tuning pins are on the left, and the row of jacks is moved to the bridge. The instrument that served me as a model belonged to the Finchcocks Collection (Kent/England) until 2016 and was certainly one of the keel instruments with the most beautiful sound.
